3 WAY LIGHT SWITCH

Main Components:

  • Lamp: The lighting controlled by the circuit.

  • Two-way switch: Allows the control of the light from two different locations.

  • Intermediate switch: Allows the control of the light from an intermediate location.

How It Works?

  1. Initial Connections: The electric current enters the circuit through two-way switch 1.

  2. First Connection: From two-way switch 1, the current passes through a conductor to the intermediate switch.

  3. Intermediate Connection: The intermediate switch is connected between the two two-way switches.

  4. Final Connections: From the intermediate switch, the current passes to two-way switch 2 and then to the lamp.

  5. Return Current: The current returns to the fuse box through the neutral conductor (blue).
